Lender withdrawals are sent as USDC on Base from the broker wallet.
You pay the price you see. Every price shown in Gondola already includes the platform fee of up to 2%. Lenders keep 98% of the price they set, with add-on costs like web search reimbursed in full. Lender prices are capped at Venice list, so marketplace supply is never more expensive than going direct. When no lender has capacity left, Gondola can serve the request from its own account instead of failing it; that supply is priced at Venice list plus the same fee, which is the only case where a request costs slightly more than going direct. Those responses carry an X-Gondola-House header, and you can cap the price you accept with the x-gondola-max-factor header, or set a hard dollar limit for a single request with the x-gondola-max-charge-usd header.
Top up once on Base, and every request settles off-chain against your Gondola balance. That means one on-chain transaction per deposit or withdrawal and nothing per request. Lenders withdraw accrued USDC whenever they clear the minimum payout. Whatever a buyer is charged always equals what the lender earns plus what Gondola keeps.
On add-ons like web search, the lender is reimbursed the full cost and Gondola keeps only the 2% buyer-side fee. Compared to Venice, the dollar itself also goes further: prices currently run up to 73% below list.
Balances backed compares the USDC in Gondola's wallets on Base, plus prepaid Venice credit, with everything owed: buyer balances, lender earnings, open request holds and pending payouts. 100% means every dollar owed is covered; the figure is never rounded up. Venice credit is counted as Venice last reported it, which refreshes hourly, and a deposit or payout in flight can briefly overstate the figure. If the on-chain balance cannot be read, no figure is shown rather than an estimate. Figures as of 2026-10-18 09:53:06 UTC, cached for up to a minute.
